EYELINER AFTERCARE
Thank you for choosing our PMU eyeliner! We hope you are enjoying your new look. To ensure the best possible results, we recommend following these instructions after applying our PMU eyeliner:
-
Allow the eyeliner to set: Right after application, wait for 5 minutes to allow the eyeliner to set. This will help the pigment to settle into the skin and avoid any smudging or displacement of the ink.
-
Rinse your eyes with cold water: Rinse your eyes with cold water 3-4 times a day for the first few days after application to remove any excess pigment and soothe the eyes. However, avoid getting the area wet for the first few hours after the procedure.
-
Gently pat your eyes dry: After rinsing your eyes, gently pat them dry with a clean towel or tissue. Avoid rubbing your eyes as this may cause the pigment to smudge.
-
Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes: For the first hour after application, avoid touching or rubbing your eyes to prevent any accidental smudging or displacement of the pigment.
-
Avoid oil-based makeup removers: For the first few days after application, avoid using oil-based makeup removers or cleansers on your eyeliner as they may cause the pigment to smudge or fade. Instead, use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to wash the rest of your face.
-
Avoid sunlight and tanning beds: Sun exposure can cause the pigment to fade more quickly, so it’s important to protect the area from UV rays. Wear a hat or sunglasses when outdoors and avoid tanning beds.
-
Don't pick at the area: It's important not to pick at the area as it heals. If any scabbing occurs, allow it to fall off naturally.
-
Be patient: PMU eyeliner takes time to heal and settle into the skin. It’s normal for the area to be slightly red and swollen for the first few days. The pigment may also appear darker at first before it lightens to its final shade.
-
Attend your follow-up appointment: Your PMU artist will schedule a follow-up appointment to check on the healing process and make any necessary touch-ups. It’s important to attend this appointment to ensure the best possible results.
By following these aftercare tips, you can help ensure the longevity and quality of your PMU eyeliner. If you have any concerns or questions about aftercare, don’t hesitate to contact your PMU artist for guidance.
