Things to consider before modeling for Lash Extensions:

1. Lash Extension Model Requirements

  • Remove all eye makeup prior to your appointment

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to your appointment to check in and complete your registration waiver

  • Avoid caffeine for 4 hours prior to appointment

  • Make arrangements to not get lashes wet within 24 hours after your appointment

  • Please do not bring children or other guests to your appointment

  • Use the restroom prior to appointment

  • Plan to lay down with eyes closed without any interruptions for at least 4 hours

  • Follow all of your lash artists guidelines

If you have experienced any of the following, please inform the administrator responsible for scheduling your lash extension appointment prior to committing to the appointment or paying your appointment deposit so we may counsel you on the correct timing to receive lashes.

  • Eye lift

  • Microblading

  • Microdermabrasion

  • Chemotherapy Treatment(s)

  • Radiation

  • Alopecia

  • Previous Eyelash Extensions

  • Allergic reaction to cyanoacrylate or false nails

  • Pink eye

  • Sty

  • Eye medications

  • Impaired tear ducts

2. Why is a $50 non-refundable deposit required to hold my appointment?

We have a strong interest from models to receive the lash service; however, we are dependent on models for training purposes and failure to fulfill an appointment commitment will detract from our artist' education.  We ask all models to pay a $50 deposit to hold the appointment to avoid potential no shows.

3. After Care Instructions Following Your Lash Appointment

  • Comb and groom lashes daily

  • Cleanse lashes daily (especially if you have oily skin)

  • Avoid waterproof mascara

  • Use oil-free makeup and skin care products

  • Follow advice of lash artist

  • Do not get your eyelash extensions wet for 24 hours

  • Do not pick or pull at extensions

  • Do not rub your eyes

  • Do not use standard or heated lash curlers

  • Do not directly apply heat to/expose lashes to heat (BBQ, hairdryer, ovens, etc.)

  • Your eyes are free of any signs or symptoms of infection;

  • Your eyes have fully recovered from recent eye surgeries or procedures;

  • You are comfortable lying down for a few hours;

  • Consult your physician if you are pregnant and/or have medical conditions, in recovery from treatments, taking medications or have allergies.

Considering the items above, there may be some applicants, who experience the following factors which may not be candidates for eyelash extension services:

  • Those who rub their eyes frequently –if this is from allergies or out of habit;

  • Those who have highly sensitive skin – while we do carry a low-allergen adhesive, this service may cause more reactions in certain candidates;

  • If you are ill or currently have allergies – if you have a cold, sinus infection, bronchitis, or flu, etc. please stay home and get well. No worries, we can reschedule your appointment for a time when you are feeling well.

  • If your natural lashes are very curly – unfortunately as your natural lash grows in, the extension will lay in an unnatural direction. This may be more irritating for you, and because of this excess “wear” on the lash, the extensions will not last as long.

  • If your natural eye shape is too deep inset or if your cheekbones are too high – to perform our procedure, we need to be able to effectively isolate your lower lashes from your upper lashes.  This is not possible to do so on some clients with deep-set eyes or high cheekbones.  Don’t be discouraged; we have a few tricks – if we can manage to get the upper and lower lashes separated, we’ll certainly apply your extensions.

  • If you don’t have natural eyelashes – our extensions are placed on a natural lash; and we need your natural lash to be healthy and strong enough to support an extension. Unlike using other lash processes such as a strip or flares, we cannot create lashes where there aren’t any.

  • If you have an allergy to cyanoacrylate.

We require all models to arrive on time and be available for the entire duration of the required time. Thank you for volunteering your time!

Booking an Appointment

We are always looking for models for trainer’s demonstrations and student practice during training.

However, with the program being very successful we sometimes have a waiting list. Appointments are booked on a first come first serve basis. The amount of students registered for a particular class determines the amount of models booked per month.

Before completing an application please read and consider the following:

- You must be over the age of 18 years - You are not taking any medications - Your blood pressure is normal (not high) - Your skin is healthy - You have no existing lash extensions - You understand that you will be asked to read and sign all forms regarding before & aftercare including personal health information  - There will be a modeling fee, and will be asked to pay a deposit to ensure your presence - Weekly fill appointments are recommended, but not included. If a second appointment with MyBrows Studio Academy student/technician is desired (additional charges will apply). Please understand that this is a time commitment, student's are still learning they skill so it will most likely take a couple of hours.

REMEMBER: Models cannot pick different lashes!
